The service and your account

Tone Ninja helps you create, import, organize, convert, and use guitar tones with compatible hardware. Features, device support, and availability may change. You are responsible for your account access and for backing up content you want to keep, especially content stored only on a guest device.

You may use Tone Ninja only in compliance with applicable law and the rights of others. Do not upload content you are not allowed to provide or use the service to infringe another person’s rights, interfere with the service, or bypass access controls.

Your content and the license you grant

You retain any rights you have in tones, files, recordings, prompts, feedback, and other content you provide ("User Content"). You represent that you have the rights needed to provide that content and grant the permissions in these terms. Content imported from another creator or service remains subject to that creator’s rights and any applicable license.

To operate Tone Ninja, you grant ESG Ventures LLC a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, analyze, transmit, and display User Content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, including generating and delivering outputs you request.

To the extent permitted by law, you also grant us a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use User Content and AI-generated outputs to develop, train, fine-tune, test, evaluate, and improve AI systems and to generate outputs for other users. This license includes permission to share content with AI service providers for those purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy, required notices and permissions, and the rights of third-party content owners. We will not apply this expanded license retroactively to content collected under an earlier privacy promise without the additional steps required by law.

Trademarks

BOSS and KATANA are trademarks of Roland Corporation. Tone Ninja is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roland or BOSS. BOSS and KATANA are used only to identify the amplifiers Tone Ninja works with.

AI-generated outputs

As between you and ESG Ventures LLC, you may use the outputs Tone Ninja generates for you, subject to third-party rights and applicable law. Similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users. We do not promise that an output is unique, accurate, noninfringing, or suitable for your amp or performance. Check settings and volume before sending a tone to hardware.

Subscriptions and outside services

Some features require a paid subscription. Price, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are shown by the purchase provider at checkout and may also be governed by that provider’s terms. Third-party sign-in, payment, AI, video, and hardware services have their own terms and may be unavailable from time to time.

Ending use and changes

You may stop using Tone Ninja at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, legal requirements, or nonpayment. Rights and obligations that by their nature should continue may survive termination, subject to applicable privacy rights.

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will give notice required by law before the new terms apply. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law.

Tone Ninja is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or a particular musical result. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
